Advanced Organizing for Social Change Training

Are you in the early stages of planning an issue campaign? Or in the middle of a campaign that isn’t going where it needs to? Come to the Midwest Academy Advanced Organizing for Social Change Training and spend three days with the Academy’s most experienced trainers applying the Midwest Academy strategy chart to your organization’s campaign. 

 
WHAT:  In this session, participants will begin the actual research and planning to set their issue campaign on a effective path, and leave with a concrete strategy to build power and win social justice. This session addresses developing clear and winnable campaign goals, building organizational power, broadening and deepening your membership, identifying and researching targets, and creating tactics that will have an direct impact on your target.  This session is led by organizers and trainers with decades of experience. Participants will spend three days researching and refining strategies for their own issue campaign, receive extensive direct consultation, and leave with a blueprint for action.
 
WHO:  This session is aimed at experienced organizers who are responsible for developing and implementing strategy for issues campaigns at the neighborhood, city, state or national level. Priority will be given to people who have attended the Midwest Academy five-day session. More than one staff person from an organization may attend at a discounted rate in order to work together.
