Event Coordinator and Development Assistant
Connecticut Citizen Action Group (CCAG) Website
Purpose: Works with the Development Director in the planning and execution of membership development projects, materials and coordinates fundraising events.
Full time: 40 hours per /week
Reports to: Development Director
Duties and Responsibilities
Work with the Development Director, volunteers, committees and staff in planning and executing CCAG/RG events related to fundraising or donor cultivation
Solicit ad donors as necessary
Events-related writing, printing and bulk mailing
Some events-related data entry and reporting
Graphic design
Other tasks as assigned, which may include some membership, mailings, and communications
Qualifications:
Two years of fundraising experience
Some experience in coordinating events
General knowledge of fundraising strategies and techniques
Hands-on experience with grassroots or social justice organizations strongly preferred
Ability to work evenings and some weekends
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Basic organizational skills
Familiarity with google sheets and docs, gmail. Canva, and social media platforms
Basic computer skills (ie: Microsoft Word, Google docs, Canva, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel)
Capacity to think strategically in cultivating existing, new member and ally participation in events.
Reliable and self-motivated
Commitment to social justice
Salary: Salary begins at $37,000, plus $1,000 for every year of applicable experience.
