Salary range: $55,000-65,000

The Data and Research Manager, under the supervision of the Field Director, will work closely with the Organizing and Field Staff to support the planning and implementation of MO JwJ campaigns and programs. This position can be based in Columbia, Kansas City, Springfield or St. Louis and will require some travel around the state as part of campaigns and meetings with MO JwJ leadership and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development of voter programs and disseminating goals and outcomes in coordination with staff and leaders
- Solicit and incorporate feedback for door and phone programs as it relates to targeting, messaging and canvassing
- Ongoing development around voter engagement strategies and tactics
- Provide and utilize data driven suggestions and program appropriate scores for targeting of voter engagement programs
- Maintain and review data gathered from programs to access progress and efficacy
- Manage the tools and data related to the predictive dialer in VAN, text message services, Robo calls, patch thru systems and member database
- Write scripts for phone banking, door canvassing and text messaging
- Support office manager and other staff in maintaining timely, accountable and accurate data management, including data integrity and report generation
- Support grant writing with data and research needed

Must Have Qualifications:
- Solid commitment to the principles of social, economic and racial justice
- Commitment to dismantling white supremacy and patriarchy
- Strong Data Management skills
- Experience with the VAN (Voter Activation Network), VoteBuilder or other civic engagement platforms
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to be a self-starter, and to work independently toward agreed upon goals
- Well organized with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of organizations and people
- Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends; while also being able to prioritize work and seek input and feedback from the team about how to maintain a healthy work life balance
Additional Preferences, but not requirements:
- Experience with either Python, SQL, R, GIS Mapping, or other coding languages
- Knowledge of dashboard tools like Google Data Studio or Tableau
- Working knowledge of Powerbase or other volunteer management systems
